Gorilla Valley Lodge Location

Gorilla Valley Lodge is located in the Southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Rushaga region. The location of the lodge is the ideal starting point for tracking the Southern gorilla families among which is the prized Nshongi family which is admired by most trackers. The other families in the region include; Mishaya, Busingye, Bweza and Kahungye.

Gorilla Valley Lodge Overview

Situated on a steep slope on the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, Gorilla Valley  Lodge is the complex of 12 rooms designed in a modern-retro setting, well furnished with comfortable twin beds, fitted with solar water heaters and having ensuite bathrooms. Each room has a private veranda where you can sit and relish the view of the valley below, the peculiar sounds made by the animal-life in the forest – the forest park is within an arm’s length from the park and the beautiful trees and plant life.

12 guest rooms

The Lodge has 12 ensuite rooms designed with local materials to blend well with the ecosystem. Each room has comfortable twin beds, a bathroom and toilet with ample space and running water and a private veranda looking out to the forest.

Gorilla Valley Lodge Restaurant and bar

The restaurant serves savoury dishes from local and international menus. You are sure to enjoy a great breakfast, lunch and dinner served on basis of your preference.

The camp also has a fully stocked bar having a variety of drinks and beverages including, beers, wine, gin, spirits, water, soda, juice and many more.

The Lodge has well-tended terraces where you can relax and sip at a cocktail while taking in the beautiful view of the valley, landscape and the flora and fauna. You will be amazed at the sight of gorillas who pay occasional visits to the garden to play and feed.

Good power supply

The lodge has a supply of solar power for light and the room are fitted with solar water heaters. In addition to this, the rooms are supplied with candles and flashlights to use in case of a power shortage

Running Water

The camp has a supply of running water, including a hot water supply in the bathrooms to allow you to have a hot bath, especially on cold mornings. While staying at the camp, you can engage in any activities without fearing a water shortage.
