Ndali Safari Lodge Location

Ndali lodge is located in the Bunyaruguru Crater Lakes region in Western Uganda and is situated in the centre of 1000 acres of privately cultivated farmland. The lodge’s location offers a spectacular view of the crater lakes, the Rwenzori Mountains, and the abundant flora and fauna. Visits to the farmland gives you an opportunity to see plantations of vanilla and bananas, coffee terraces, plots of cassava, groundnuts, millet, and sorghum. The lodge is located within a short driving distance to Kibale Forest National Park. The other easily accessed parks include; Queen Elizabeth National Park and Murchison Falls National Park.

 

Ndali Safari Lodge Overview 

Situated on the rim of an extinct volcano, Ndali Lodge is a complex of one main lodge and eight sleeping cottages. The main lodge consists of a lounge, reception, dining area, and bar. It is a complex of white walls and polished floors, exposed beams, lightweight seating and carefully chosen artefacts. The lodge is lit by candles and hurricane lamps. All the cottages are self-contained with a double/twin bed, ample changing room, a seating area, ensuite bathroom facilities and a private veranda.

Self-contained cottages

Ndali lodge has 8 self-contained and well-furnished cottages – fascinating stone and thatched buildings. The cottages have ensuite bathroom facilities; a bath, shower, toilet and hand basin. Each cottage has ample bedroom space with a double/twin bed, sitting area, dining and private veranda looking out to the looming Rwenzori Mountains.

Dining, lounge & bar

Ndali lodge has dining facility which first class prepares buffets, picnic lunches and dinners. Evening meals are normally are a communal table gathering. The lounge is comfortable and spacious, designed with alluring African patterns and artefacts. Ndali lodge has a fully stocked bar having an assortment of all beverages including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

Running water

Ndali lodge has a hydraulic ram pump which generates water from the lake to the lodge using gravity. The cottages have a supply of both hot and cold water, the eucalyptus forest on the estate provides firewood for the hot water system.

Solar power supply

All the lodge facilities have a supply of solar power which is supplemented by the use of candles and hurricane lamps. Even the refrigeration facility uses solar power, all intended to give a natural and pure African experience.
