Itinerary for the 5 Days Gorilla Chimpanzee Safari
Your journey will start as early as 7:00 with pick up from your hotel by our guide. Drive southwest taking the Masaka- Mbarara road traversing the Kigezi Highlands. You will have lunch en-route and later continue further down south arriving in Bwindi in the evening. Check in at the lodge, dinner and overnight. Drive Time: 8 – 10 hours Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner

Day 2: GORILLA TRACKING
After breakfast and with packed lunch you will transfer to the park headquarters to join other trackers for a briefing and then later commence the gorilla trek along the tracks in the thick forest searching for these great apes. Carry with you packed lunch and a bottle of water, later in the evening, transfer back to the lodge. In the evening, we can organise a community walk into the local community. Day 3: TRANSFER TO KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast transfer to Kibale Forest National park. The journey will take you through the small homestead and towns like Kasese town that was commonly known for its copper mining during the colonial era. You will proceed to Fort Portal town arriving in the evening at your lodge. Drive Time: 5 -6 hours Meal plan: breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 4: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING AND SWAMP WALK
This morning after breakfast drive to the park headquarters to join other trackers for a briefing and thereafter you will be taken for chimpanzee tracking through Kibale Forest National Park. After lunch, you will drive to Bigodi for a swamp walk. This wetland belongs to the community neighbouring the park. Dinner and overnight as the previous night.
Day 5: TRANSFER BACK TO ENTEBBE
After breakfast, proceed back to Kampala / Entebbe arriving in the afternoon to catch your onward flight. Reserved for evening flights. Lunch en route Drive time: 5 – 6 hours.
